The End?

Music has always been a journey for me. No matter what situation I was in, I always tried to incorporate music somewhere in my life.  When my time was cut short in the military, I would have conversations with Greg about where I saw our band going and what I wanted to do while I was assigned to work the crosswalk for kids.  Funny thing is, we did it! We had a lot of fun, we played a lot of shows and learned how to write along the way.  I was able to meet great musicians that are now my really close friends. Then I started this project and I didn't know what direction I wanted to go but I knew I wanted to make some jingle jangle rock 'n roll garage surf reverb music.  It was awesome having Daniel Greg Matt and Josh together again making music but it was tough because I had a certain vision and I wasnt trying to write with them but dictate what they should play.  I would learn that this isn't fair to them either.  As good times as we had, I couldn't force them to like what we were playing or know what I was going for.  Life happens, and months pass by and I no longer have a drummer, guitarist, bass player just me my guitar and Matt my friend and vocalist, trying to figure out what we're going to do.

Now I feel like I'm back in 2006, with uncertainty due to my job, not knowing what's going to happen in the next few months. Only knowing that regardless of what happens with my job, I have my music that I want to share with the world.  But also in this strange time, some friends that I had no idea played music or would want to play music with me, came into the fold.  I thought I had it all figured out, but I didn't.  I'm still learning new tricks, how to express myself through music and how to be more open with my bandmates so that we're all having a rad time.  With that being said, I feel this is a new chapter in my journey.  Picchu Machu will always be my moniker but this band is something new and deserves a fresh start.  So I'm not sure if I'll write on here again, but I can't wait for you to hear what's next.  Goodbye PicchuMachu, hello ?????????

2015 is here, it's time

It's time for PicchuMachu to emerge and bring smooth melodies for your ears to hear.  Trying to get a small label to put out my music on tape then possibly vinyl.  I can't wait for what the future brings.

Remember to do what makes you happy, don't get stuck in a slump.  Explore, Attempt, Fail, Try Again, Fail Again, Suceed, Be Happy. I can't keep living a life that isn't anything but positive even when shit is hard.  Thanks for being here, I appreciate you.

you hate this world but i love you in it
this life's so hard but you keep me living
i dont like saying i have my limits
i take more pills then i really needed
youve been there when im overheating
to hand me water when my soul is leaving
is this a bad trip or am i still breathing
did i stop breathing

its not about us, its about making you feel better
its not about us, its you living one more day

this life's so strange now its going so fast
i cant get it to stop
these days a blur, who did i meet? are they
important to me?
some people they have god, well i have my own friends
theyve helped me out more than any invisible man can

Another Chapter...

It's a bitter sweet feeling.  We've come a long way from that My Space Ad Daniel responded to.  Who would've thought an actual good drummer would respond?

We went on to create our own blend of metal and play some of the most unique shows.  From bars in Colton, to a dood bleeding all over after getting hit in the nose in the pit and being so hyped we played, to an empty Ventura skate park, and damn near presale residency at the Chain Reaction that made us broke.

His playing always helped me grow as a musician and made a lot of our songs sound way better than what they would have been without him.

The only reason I started getting serious about Picchu Machu was because I knew if Daniel was playing, we would make some magical music again.  It'll be tough following up this act, but what a pleasure it's been to play with this dude. Thanks for learning these weird songs and putting up with my shit brosee! I'm crashing at your pad!
